Doc wrote his first book, 'Boosting Dairy Profits', over the course of three years, with publication in 1990. Since then, he has been a prodigious author with ten more books, 94 scientific and over a hundred lay papers in the popular press. The most recent book, Beyond the Barn, was published in the summer of 2023. Nine of his previous books are technical, one storybook and his latest book is about the life stories of his extraordinary career as a veterinarian that started with his wife and partner, Dr. Judy, but ultimately led to a national then international veterinary consultation practice.
